Gardner, died Saturday(August 22, 1998) at a local convalescent home. Born in New York City,August 10, 1903, she had been a resident of Manchester for the past 85years and was a communicant of St. Bridget Church. Mrs. Gardner issurvived by her son and daughter-in- law, Raymond E. and Marie Gardner ofManchester; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She waspredeceased by a daughter, Doris Remmey Grobbel; and a brother, James R.Hall. Funeral services will be Tuesday (August 25), 8:45 a.m., at theHolmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, with a Mass ofChristian Burial, 9:30 a.m., at St. Bridget Church, 70 Main Street,Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery, Manchester. Callinghours are Monday, 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributionsmay be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
