Descendants of "der Schwarze GOBELEN von Obringhausen" -
The GROBBEL Family Genealogy

UPDATED DATABASE (as of 25 May 2013) CAN BE FOUND HERE: http://grobbel.org/genealogy/database/paf_new/index.htm

These web pages allow you to quickly find any one of the 5,549 individuals who were listed in my Grobbel Family database as of 29 August 2003. Once you have found that person, you can see who their ancestors were, as well as their spouse(s) and descendants (if any).

If you know the person's last name (surname), start with the "Surname List" link, (below), which takes you directly to that family's section in the "Name Index" (otherwise, you will have to start with the "Name Index" and manually scroll through it to find them). When you find their first name, click on it and you will be taken directly to that person's entry on the appropriate "Generation Page". Remember that all females are listed and indexed under their maiden name.

This database includes only direct descendants of "der Schwarze Gobelen von Obringhausen" (b. about 1370 in Obringhausen, Westphalia), plus their spouses and offspring. Dates and locations are omitted for all living individuals to protect their privacy.

I wish to acknowledge and thank the following individuals for their contributions to this project: Johannes Grobbel (Schmallenberg, NRW, Germany), Dierk Stoetzel (Eslohe, NRW, Germany), John Schlaud (Grand Blanc, MI), Mary Schultz (Melvin, MI), Josef Lauber-deceased (Fredeburg, NRW, Germany), Klaus-Jürgen Lauber-deceased (Eslohe, NRW, Germany), Ludwig Brögger-deceased (Wipperfürth, NRW, Germany), Nina Rinke Ettinger-deceased (Macomb County, MI).
