The Alumnae Association in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan mourns the lossof our oldest alumna, Margaret Fitzpatrick Grobbel '19. She passed away at the age of 102 in Houston, Texas on January 25, 2002. Margaret had attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart on Jefferson Avenue. She was in the first graduating class from Lawrence Avenue. She graduated from Clifton College of the Sacred Heart in 1922. Margaret served as President of the Alumnae Association in 1930. She had come to Children of Mary meetings at Grosse Pointe and Bloomfield Hills. Margaret is survived by her son Cyril A Grobbel Jr., and her daughter Patricia Grobbel Kemp ( Grosse Pointe '53, Manhattanville '57 )12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great -grandchild.

Anthony was a part owner/operator of the "Sportsmen's Rondiview Bar" during the mid to late 1930's. It was located at 19803 Ralston Street, just south of State Fair Street, near the south entrance to the State Fairgrounds in Detroit, Michigan.
The famous clown Emmett Kelly (1898-1979), who was best remembered for his sad-faced character "Willie", was a regular patron whenever he was in town and a friend to Anthony.
