Robinet were his God-parents. Just by coincidence, Leonard married
his second wife, Laura Penny, exactly 105 years to the day after his
grandfather, Jacob Schlaud, married his second wife, Elizabeth

Florence Agnes Halpin

Florence had auburn hair and Fred Jehle, who her husband worked the
farm for at 1377 E. Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc Twp., always
called her Flossie. She also had blue eyes. After her first child
John, was born, the doctor told her that she shouldn't have any more
children, but she had the other four anyway. She graduated from
Lapeer High School in 1928 (from 1928 yearbook). She made her First
Holy Communion on 15 June, 1919 and Confirmation on Sept. 1, 1919 at
Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer. Her Confirmation name
was Helen. She was buried at Mount Loretto Cemetery,

Norman Joseph Kinch

Norm was Irish and the family had his favorite Irish songs played at the
funeral home before the Rosary. Also they had name tags with shamrocks
on them. Marvin Robertson, a nephew and also a deacon in the Catholic
Church assisted at the funeral Mass and also officiated at the committal
at the cemetery. Norm was able to live to see two of his G. G. Grandchildren.
He was buried at Eastlawn cemetery.
