SCHLAUD, James Henry - Of Flint, age 80, passed away Saturday, August13, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 10AM Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2210 N. Franklin Ave., Flint, Pastor Harry White officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9PM Monday, 12-4 and 6-9PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison. On Wednesday, visitation will be from 9AM until the time of the service at the church. A Memorial Service will be conducted, by Davison VFWPost #4087, Tuesday evening at 7PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church. James was born July 15, 1925, in North Branch MI, son of the late Joseph and Florence (Pierson) Schlaud. He married Erika Pfarr May 24, 1958. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of Davison VFW Post #4087. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired fromBuick, in 1988, after 37 years of service. James was a loving husbandand father with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards, cribbage and pool. He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Erika; daughters, Joanne (David) Barr and Sandra (Jerry) Passow; granddaughters, Jaimie Barr and Kaitlyn Barr; sister, Hilda Rippy; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin brother,Joseph; brother. Andrew; and sisters, Alice Lenartowicz and Ruth Burch.
