Regarding
Purchase and Installation of an Exterior Storm Door for the Front Entry Door
Co-owners may purchase and install an approved exterior storm door on the front entry door of their unit only after submitting an Alteration/Modification Request and receiving written approval from the Board of Directors. Co-owners may install any kind of storm door on the entrance door located inside their garage without seeking Board approval.
Below are exterior storm doors from several different
manufacturers that have been approved by the Board of Directors
for installation on the front entry doors of our Units. These
doors have been approved because they are similar in appearance
and will thus provide a uniform appearance when installed on our
many buildings. These colors have been chosen because they are
compatible with the exterior trim colors of our buildings. A co-owner
may use the suggested supplier or any other supplier who can
provide the approved storm door.
The
handle and kick plate on your storm door must match the finish of the
door hardware on the front entry door. The hardware on existing front
entry doors in the Manors all have have either a "bright brass" or
"satin nickel" finish and all replacement front door hardware must have
one of these two finishes. Mixing of the two different finshes is
not permitted, either on the front entry door, the exterior storm door
or between the front entry door and storm door.
Your
Alteration/Modification Request must identify whether your storm door
handle and kick plate will have a "bright brass" or "satin nickel"
finish that matches the front entry door hardware.

Storm windows may also be installed to cover the sidelights next to the front entrance door, provided they are included on the Alteration/Modification Request and written approval has been received from the Board of Directors. The storm windows must be from the same manufacturer as the storm door and the frames must match the color of the exterior storm door.
If for some reason a co-owner wants to install an exterior front storm door that is not listed above, the co-owner should submit an Alteration/Modification Request stating their reason, along with a full description of the manufacturer, model, style, color, supplier, etc. so that the Board can determine whether or not it is similar enough to the two already approved doors. The Board has the final say in determining whether another manufacturer's storm door is similar enough to be added to the approved list.
